Hugh Jackman<\/strong> is proving that he\u2019s the greatest showman<\/del>\u00a0gentleman.<\/p>\n

During a Wednesday, May 6, appearance on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle,<\/em> Jackman, 57, revealed that he helped close friend Blake Lively<\/strong> with a wardrobe malfunction at the 2026 Met Gala \u2014 but he asked Lively\u2019s husband, Ryan Reynolds<\/strong>, for permission first.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was another cool moment \u2014 I\u2019m literally, as I\u2019m saying it, thinking maybe you shouldn\u2019t say this \u2014 but Blake, my good friend Blake Lively, goes, \u2018Dude, I need some help with the dress. I think there\u2019s a hook in there,\u2019\u201d the Greatest Showman<\/em> star recalled.<\/p>\n

Though Reynolds, 49, did not accompany Lively, 38, to the Met Gala on Monday, May 4, Jackman joked that he sent a mental message to his Deadpool & Wolverine costar.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lively attended the event solo hours after news broke that she and Justin Baldoni<\/strong> had settled their contentious legal battle over their 2024 film It Ends With Us.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe end product \u2014 the movie It Ends With Us<\/em> \u2014 is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life. The statement continued, \u201cWe remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments. It is our sincere hope that this brings closure and allows all involved to move forward constructively and in peace, including a respectful environment online.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lively later filed a notice of settlement, in which she requested damages to cover her attorneys\u2019 fees and costs, as well as compensatory and punitive damages, according to court documents obtained by Us<\/em> on Thursday, May 7.<\/p>\n

And by admitting that Ms. Lively\u2019s concerns \u2018deserved to be heard,\u2019 the defendants have ended once and for all the fiction that Ms. Lively \u2018fabricated\u2019 claims of sexual harassment and retaliation.\u201d<\/p>\n
