\n\tEXCLUSIVE<\/strong>: Popeye\u00a0The Slayer Man 2,<\/em>\u00a0the sequel to the public domain horror released last year, has begun filming in upstate New York with new cast additions including Daniel Baldwin (Homicide: Life on the Street<\/em>) and Avaryana Rose (The Caretaker<\/em>).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film concerns\u00a0Popeye, the legendary sailor man whose consumption of contaminated spinach in the first film made him a madman killer, going on a rampage and getting revenge after his home is destroyed, as police zero in and estranged family try to reach what\u2019s left of him. A first look is below.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis movie is bigger and bloodier than the first.\u00a0More kills and gore and more\u00a0Popeye\u00a0backstory,\u201d said producer Jeff Miller.\u00a0\u201cFans of the original won\u2019t be disappointed, and we\u00a0believe we\u2019ll get new fans with this one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPopeye\u00a0the Slayer Man\u00a0<\/em>2 stars returning actors Sean Michael Conway, Elena Juliano, Sarah Nicklin, Nathan Todaro, and Jason Stephens in the title role.\u00a0Baldwin will play the mayor of the town and Rose, who founded anti-cyber-bullying platform Babes Against Bullying, his daughter.\u00a0Other newcomers include Chelsea Gilson, Mia Rose, Derek Poole, and Jesse Wakeman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tRobert Michael Ryan returns to direct from a screenplay by John Doolan (Remains<\/em>).\u00a0Jeff Miller (The Toybox<\/em>), Cuyle Carvin (Ouija Witch<\/em>), and Ryan also contributed to the story.\u00a0Producers are \u2014 along with Miller, Carvin, and Ryan \u2014 Alexander Tucker and Nathan Todaro.\u00a0Executive producers include Brandon Gibbs, Dustin Knoop, Korey Rowe, and Ronnie D. Lee.\u00a0Co-producers are Alysa Blasetti and Dylan Avery.\u00a0\u00a0Korey Rowe is director of photography.\u00a0R.J. Young supervises the special makeup FX.\u00a0Andrew Mulligan is propmaster.\u00a0Heather Sharpe is wardrobe supervisor.<\/p>\n

\n\tPopeye\u00a0the Slayer Man 2\u00a0<\/em>is a co-production between Salem House Films, Millman Productions, Cloud 9 Productions, Babe Entertainment, Ron Lee Productions, and Otsego Media.<\/p>\n
