Can’t chat with your Discord friends? You’re not the only one. The popular chat platform has been down for some users since at least 3:08PM ET when the company said it had begun investigating an issue with its API systems. Shortly thereafter, at 3:24PM ET, Discord said it had identified the problem, but noted it was still affecting users, making it difficult for them to use the service.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“We are continuing to work to remediate the issues impacting availability for some Discord users,” the company said at3:56PM ET, as part of its latest update. “This is causing impact across our service, including logging in and sending messages.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Whatever is causing the service disruption, it making it so that people can’t use Discord at all, this writer included.\u00a0I tried to add a new friend to my contact list, only for the service to tell me the username I was trying to add didn’t exist.\u00a0I then tried to restart Discord and now the app won’t start at all. We’ll update this article once the app’s running again.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
