One year after Hudgens and Tucker tied the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201c[We have] one of each,\u201d Tucker replied, going on to share his parenthood hopes. \u201cI want him to do whatever he wants to do, but my wife and I want to expose him to as much as we can. He was born on July 1st last year, and he [already] plays the drums and the piano and the guitar and baseball.\u201d<\/p>\n Tucker, a former MLB athlete, stressed that he isn\u2019t pushing his firstborn son to follow in his baseball footsteps.<\/p>\n \u201cHe hits the ball off the tee, and he swings golf clubs and hits the ball \u2014 and he\u2019s shooting hoops, now,\u201d Tucker teased of the pair\u2019s son. \u201cHe loves basketball. We just want to show him everything and whatever he wants to do, we\u2019ll support him.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201c[If he wants] to be a dentist, sell something \u2026 be a school teacher [or] a rock star, it\u2019s all good. We\u2019re very open-minded.\u201d<\/p>\n Tucker retired from the MLB in 2025, while Hudgens has been working as an actress and musician since she was a child.<\/p>\n \u201cMy wife and I both ended up having jobs that people told us would never, like, come true or would never come to fruition, so we\u2019re very open-minded,\u201d Tucker acknowledged. \u201cWhatever our kids want to do, we\u2019ll support them and love them no matter what. I don\u2019t want [my son] to feel like he has any pressure to be a baseball player.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite laying off any pressure to hit the diamond, Tucker still wants his son to \u201cplay baseball as a kid.\u201d<\/p>\n You have successfully subscribed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n \u201cI think everyone should play baseball \u2018cause it teaches you so much about yourself and life and working with other people and whatnot,\u201d Tucker said. \u201cI want him to have that experience, and my wife is super excited to be the T-ball team mom, you know how that goes, but I don\u2019t want him to feel, like, \u2018You have to go to the big leagues [because] Dad did.\u2019 That pressure and anxiety would suck, but if you want, let\u2019s go.\u201d<\/p>\n Until then, Tucker is embracing the small milestones with his young kids.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m doing a lot of dad walks, a lot of up-and-down incline, like, a sled push,\u201d he quipped of his post-retirement workouts. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m in pretty good shape for a dad right now. \u2026 I\u2019m in great dad shape, a lot of hands and knees.
