Jason Kelce Shows Off Noticeable Weight Loss at Waffle House

Jason Kelce showed off his noticeably slimmer figure as the former NFL star continues his public weight loss journey.

Kelce, 38, posed for pictures outside a Waffle House in Pell City, Alabama on Saturday, April 25, smiling for the camera while wearing a pair of blue shorts and a camouflage polo.

“BRUH!!! Not Jason Kelce taking the time to pose for a few shots with my son Chandler Johnson @Waffle House in Pell City!!!,” the employee’s mother, Christy Ellard, shared via Facebook.

Kelce was in Alabama for a surprise appearance at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, where he worked as a pit crew member for the No. 17 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, driven by Corey Day

Day, 20, emerged victorious at Talladega on Saturday with Kelce on his crew.

Kelce — who retired from the NFL in March 2024 after 13 seasons with the Eagles as a starting center — has been vocal about his desire to lose weight in the afterglow of his NFL career.

“Right now, I’m about 277. I’m almost 20 pounds down right now,” Jason told GQ in June 2024. “It’s hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better. So another 20 pounds hopefully will make that much more adept at playing with my children.”

Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, share four daughters: Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finn, 12 months.

“I don’t want to get too small,” Jason added. “I think a lot of guys, especially offensive linemen, they lose too much weight, and then they look like bobbleheads because their neck gets so small, but their head stays the same size. … I’ll still be big and be happy with the way I look without having a six-pack. But I’ll still be able to have that stature a little bit.”

The former Eagles star provided an exclusive weight loss update to Us Weekly in May 2025.

“I was 295 [pounds] when I played,” Jason told Us in May 2025. “I’m about 270 1777342747, so 25 pounds.”

He added, “I don’t really want to get below 250. So, I think somewhere between 250 and 265. We’ll see where it goes.”

Post-retirement, Jason signed a three-year, $24 million deal with ESPN, where he has cohosted Monday Night Countdown since September 2024.

Earlier this month, The Athletic reported that Jason is a “dark horse” candidate to grab the color analyst role on the network’s No. 2 NFL broadcasting crew when the 2026 season kicks off this fall.
