The change broadens a partnership that began in 2016, when Airbnb and Delta linked their platforms so travelers could earn miles on qualifying Airbnb stays. Airbnb said guests have earned millions of miles through the partnership since then.
The new structure reflects how travel loyalty programs are moving beyond flights and hotels to capture more of the trip. Airbnb Experiences can include activities such as cooking classes, tours, and other bookable activities, while Airbnb Services are designed around trip-related needs. The expanded earning option means a traveler booking, for example, a pasta-making class in Rome through Airbnb could earn Delta miles on that purchase, in addition to miles earned on an eligible stay.
How to take advantage of the upgraded Airbnb/Delta partnership

To earn miles, guests must connect their Airbnb and Delta SkyMiles accounts and make a qualifying booking within 10 days. Airbnb said travelers who need more time, or who want to book another trip, can renew that 10-day booking window by returning through deltaairbnb.com.
The companies are also adding clearer in-app messaging to identify which Airbnb Stays, Experiences, and Services qualify for mileage earning. That change is intended to make the earning process more visible before checkout, rather than requiring travelers to calculate rewards after booking.
For Delta, the expanded partnership adds another way to keep SkyMiles members engaged outside the airport. Airline loyalty programs have increasingly pushed into dining, rideshare, vacation rentals, credit cards, and travel activities as carriers compete for customer spending across the full travel cycle.

For travelers, the practical benefit is straightforward: Those already booking eligible Airbnb stays, activities, or services can add SkyMiles earning to purchases they may have made anyway. The main requirement is account connection before booking — and attention to whether the Airbnb product is marked as qualifying. ![]()
