NHL Draft Lottery live updates: Odds, top prospects, start time and how to watch today’s drawing

Gavin McKenna is still the prize tonight and is still expected to be the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft.

But there are also two lotteries and the names I’ve been hearing the most in terms of No. 2 are Caleb Malhotra, Chase Reid, Ivar Stenberg and Carson Carels.

My sense is that that’s your quote-unquote consensus top five.

It’s not unanimous and the order depends on who you ask, but those guys have had the most helium down the stretch and each could go as early as No. 2.

One name I’m hearing less and less of (at least as a top-two guy): Keaton Verhoeff.

The big, right-shot North Dakota D is still going to go very early. I’m not convinced that’ll be second-overall early.
