Patriots Star Stefon Diggs Found Not Guilty in Assault Trial

New England Patriots veteran Stefon Diggs was found not guilty in his assault trial stemming from an alleged altercation with his former chef.

Diggs, 32, faced one count of felony strangulation and one count of misdemeanor assault and battery. The Tuesday, May 5, verdict was read in a Dedham District courtroom after an hour-and-a-half of deliberation, according to TMZ Sports.

The wide receiver’s former chef, Mila Adams, accused Diggs of strangling her after the pair got into an alleged financial dispute last year.

“He took his arm and he came around my neck and put his elbow around my neck,” she claimed while testifying in court on Monday, May 4. “He began to choke me, [put] pressure on my neck.”

She said the confrontation happened in her bedroom in December 2025 after the pair engaged in a “text exchange” over allegedly unpaid wages.

“I’m skilled with recovery, so I knew what it would take to help him get healthy and stay healthy,” Adams explained.
