Singer D4vd, who was arrested on Thursday, April 16, in connection to the death of a 14-year-old girl found in an abandoned car, was reportedly staying at Sandra Bullock’s former home.
The “Romantic Homicide” singer, 21 — whose lawyers have maintained his innocence — was apparently laying low at a four-bedroom, three bathroom house in Hollywood that was once owned by the Blind Side star, 61, according to TMZ.
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was arrested on Thursday in connection to the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, and he is being held without bail.
According to the Associated Press, Rivas Hernandez’s body was found in an impounded Tesla reportedly registered to D4vd on September 8, 2025, a day after her 15th birthday.
People reported that D4vd became a suspect in November, according to a police source.
It’s unclear how long the singer was staying at the home formerly owned by Bullock, but TMZ reported that it was listed for rent on Zillow at $17,500 a month in September 2025 and that the listing was removed last month.

Bullock reportedly lived in the home from 2001, when she bought it for $1.48 million, until she sold it in 2018 for $2.9 million. The California home is reportedly located down the street from where Jimmy Kimmel lives.
TMZ reported that D4vd was taken into custody by the LAPD Thursday, and video showed detectives surrounding the property. Sources told the outlet that the robbery-homicide and gangs and narcotics divisions as well as its K9 unit of the LAPD were all at the scene.
According to the AP, defense attorneys Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski and Regina Peter said in a statement, “Let us be clear — the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.”
“There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed,” the statement added. “David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence.”
Rivas Hernandez’s cause and manner of death have not been released as it remains under investigation, according to People. A Los Angeles Police Department detective asked a judge to seal the autopsy findings.
It’s been reported that Rivas Hernandez had likely been dead “for several weeks” before her body was found.
