Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen’s 2-year-old son, Ever, was heard hysterically crying after his father called 911 in February over an alleged domestic dispute.
In audio obtained from the Draper Police Department by Us Weekly, Ever cried in the background while Paul, 31, and Mortensen, 33, argued until a dispatcher answered the call.
“Please, please,” Paul seemingly pleaded to Mortensen.
Once the 911 operator picked up the call, Mortensen claimed his son was “freaking out.”
“I guess he’s good now,” Mortensen said. “He was just kinda hurt and wasn’t feeling well but I was just freaking out. I think he’s good now. I think he’s sick because he almost just threw up.”
The operator asked Mortensen whether she should send someone to check on Ever, which the DadTok member declined.
“No, I might just take him in,” he said. “I just didn’t know how to do that.”
Mortensen further asked if there were any preferred places to take Ever for treatment, though the operator said she couldn’t make that determination. (The call was placed on February 22 around 7:30 in the morning.)
According to a police report, Paul allegedly talked Mortensen into downplaying an incident between them. The investigation filing reported that Mortensen said he was at Paul’s house when the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star allegedly got angry about his possible past relationships. He claimed that Paul attacked him by grabbing his face and throat, as well as scratching his neck. Mortensen also alleged that Paul shoved him into a window.

Paul has not addressed the accusations. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.
Us confirmed last month that Draper police officers opened an investigation into Paul and Mortensen after an alleged altercation in February.
“There’s more to the context to everything and it’s unfortunate,” Taylor, who also shares two children with ex-husband Tate Paul, exclusively told Us in March, denying the accusations. “It’s been hard. And it sucks to be in this position. And the mother that I am, that is something I will always stand my ground on. I believe that I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well.”
Taylor was previously arrested in February 2023 after a fight with Mortensen, pleading guilty to one count of aggravated assault in exchange for additional charges pertaining to child abuse being dropped. She was remanded to probation.
Footage from the 2023 fight leaked last month, in which Taylor was seen throwing chairs at Mortensen in front of her now-8-year-old daughter. Taylor categorically denied the domestic violence accusations, while ABC distanced itself from the reality TV star and scrapped her season of The Bachelorette.
Mortensen was also granted a temporary protective order against Taylor at the time, barring any contact and awarding him full custody of Ever. During an April 7 hearing, a judge ruled that Taylor is allowed weekly supervised visitation with their son until another hearing this month.
News broke on Tuesday, April 14, that Draper PD declined to file charges against Taylor.
“Cried when I got the call 🙏,” she wrote via social media that night. “THANK YOU to those that have stood with me.”
