In this Healio video exclusive, Leonard H. Calabrese, DO, chief medical editor of Healio Rheumatology, highlights a recent Q&A with ACR President William F. Harvey, MD, MSc, who has called for unity in order to combat “division and chaos.”

Lastly, Calabrese noted a new guest editorial from his “dear friend,” David S. Pisetsky, MD, PhD, professor of medicine and integrative immunobiology at the Duke University Medical Center. In his editorial, Pisetsky reflects on the proliferation of direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising, and provides a “modest proposal” on how to increase vaccine awareness and uptake.
“[Dr. Pisetsky] is a giant in the field of lupus and also a gifted writer,” Calabrese said. “He gives us his reflections on advertising of medications in the United States, where it is and where it should be going.”
