WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — At Orthopedics Today Hawaii, Jack M. Bert, MD, spoke about recent successes of employer-to-provider contracting in orthopedics.
“I wanted to relate my experience with employer-to-provider contracting for those of you who are frustrated by the insurance industry, which I’ve been frustrated by for 40 years,” Bert, orthopedic surgeon in Woodbury, Minnesota, told Healio. “It has been very successful.”
“Our goal as orthopedic surgeons is trying to get the best care for patients as rapidly as possible, and we have been able to successfully do that now, working with up to about 2 million patients all over the country,” he added.
